ABOUT THE EVENT

SustainSphere is a groundbreaking event organized by the SDG Cell within the Department of Data Science as part of SDG Week at CHRIST Deemed to be University. This flagship initiative aims to empower students by equipping them with valuable skills while actively contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Event Highlights

Educational Empowerment: SustainSphere is designed to educate students about the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through engaging activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the global measures outlined by the United Nations.
Global Perspective through UN Simulations: The event features a unique UN Model Simulation in the first round. Students will represent assigned countries, engaging in comprehensive research on SDG measures worldwide. This simulation enhances diplomatic skills and provides a global perspective on the challenges associated with SDGs.
Practical Application - SustainSphere Action Round: Winners from the initial simulation progress to the second round, focusing on practical implementation. The emphasis is on comprehensive research insights to foster sustainable practices within our university and Lavasa. This round highlights the tangible impact students can make by applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios.

First Prize: Rs. 4000, Winners Certificate, and Goodies
Second Prize: Rs. 2000, Winners Certificate, and Goodies
Third Prize: Rs. 1000, Winners Certificate, and Goodies
SDG Excellence Award: The top proposal for transforming Lavasa could become the next project for the SDG Cell, Department of Data Science, offering practical implementation. A special cash prize of Rs 1,000 will be given.
All participating teams will receive a participation certificate and event-themed goodies.
